They Live! (Diorama Redux)
The latest bava.studio diorama is officially out in the wild! This time around we took inspiration from John Carpenter's 1988 cult classic They Live, and the result is something pretty damn special.
This one is all Mattia! It was his vision from the beginning, and his incredible attention to detail, engineering chops, and ability to turn a movie scene into a three-dimensional world made the whole thing possible. I was just happy to be along for the ride, and make sure Mattia didn't cut his hand off 😄
I wrote up the whole process, from the initial idea to the final installation, over on bavatuesdays: "They Live Diorama". There are plenty of pictures, some behind-the-scenes details, and a video of the finished product.
But the real magic happens when you see it in person. The diorama is now on display in the window of bava.studio at Via Calepina 38 in Trento, and we hope folks passing by will stop, take a look, and enjoy a little bit of the magic Mattia has created.

L'ultimo diorama di bava.studio è ufficialmente arrivato in vetrina! Questa volta ci siamo ispirati al film cult del 1988 di John Carpenter, Essi vivono (They Live), e il risultato è qualcosa di davvero speciale.
Questo diorama è tutto merito di Mattia! L'idea è stata sua fin dall'inizio, e sono stati la sua incredibile attenzione ai dettagli, il suo ingegno e la sua capacità di trasformare una scena cinematografica in un mondo tridimensionale a rendere possibile tutto questo. Io sono stato felicissimo di accompagnarlo in questa avventura e, soprattutto, di assicurarmi che non si tagliasse una mano! 😄
Ho raccontato tutto il processo, dall'idea iniziale all'installazione finale, su bavatuesdays: They Live Diorama. Ci sono un sacco di foto, qualche retroscena sulla realizzazione e un video del risultato finale.
Ma la vera magia si scopre dal vivo. Il diorama è ora esposto nella vetrina di bava.studio, in Via Calepina 38 a Trento, e speriamo che chi passa di lì si fermi a dare un'occhiata e a godersi un po' della magia che Mattia è riuscito a creare.
